5 new AIGENCY V4.1 features: Folders, Deep Research, Knowledge Base, Scheduled Tasks and Canvas

28 May 2026 — AIGENCY V4.1 ships with five new features at once. These aren't demo toys; they're tools that save real time in daily use and tame chaotic flows. Let's go through them one by one — where each lives, what it does, how to use it, and which plan unlocks it.

1. Chat Folders

If you've been using AIGENCY for a while, you know how the sidebar fills up. Customer calls, personal notes, half-finished research, quick questions — all side by side in one long list. Folders fix that.

In the sidebar, right under the search bar, you'll see a row of colored pills. Hit the "+" on the left, name the folder, pick a color, and create. Then move a chat into it using the chat's three-dot menu ("Move to folder") or by right-clicking. Click a folder and the list filters automatically; the "All" button on the far left always brings you back.

Deleting a folder doesn't lose chats — they fall back into the "All" group. So if you remove a folder by mistake, no conversation goes missing. Colors include indigo, emerald, rose, violet, amber, cyan and slate; using a different color per topic helps: "Marketing" in emerald, "Legal" in amber, "Family" in rose.

Plan limits: Free 3, Starter 10, Pro 30, Business unlimited.

2. Deep Research

Some questions can't be answered in a single message. "Who are the fastest-growing B2B SaaS companies in Turkey and how did they grow?" needs the assistant to spend a few minutes actually verifying multiple sources. Deep Research is built for that.

When an assistant supports agent mode — Alparslan and similar full-featured assistants — you'll see a purple "Deep Research" button in the chat header. Turn it on, ask your question, and you'll see a progress bar: "Planning" → "Researching" → "Synthesizing". Within 5–10 minutes you get a report-style answer drawn from 5–10 sources, fairly presenting conflicting information from all sides.

The best part: you can close the page. Research keeps running in the background; next time you open the chat, the result is waiting. The "Cancel" button is always available if you change your mind.

Plan limits: Pro 25 runs/month, Business 250 runs/month. Not available on Free or Starter.

3. Knowledge Base

Have you ever thought, "I wish the assistant knew our company policies"? Or, if you work at a law firm, "I wish I could upload my 100-page case file and ask questions against it"? Knowledge Base does exactly that.

Get to the Knowledge Base page from the "KB" button in the sidebar. Create a new KB, give it a name and description. Then upload PDF, Word or plain text files — up to 50 MB per file. A few minutes after upload, the file's status turns to "ready"; in the meantime it's chunked and indexed for semantic search in the background.

To use a KB in a chat, link it via the dropdown in the chat header. The moment you do, the assistant looks up your KB first for every question and answers with proper citations like "as stated on page 12 of Annual Report 2025.pdf...". No hallucination risk; it speaks only from your documents.

This is a game-changer in legal, finance, academic and consulting work. Upload your company documentation, regulations, product catalog, your own notes; the assistant reads them and answers with the right source.

Plan limits: Starter 1 KB / 25 MB, Pro 10 KBs / 250 MB, Business unlimited KBs / 2 GB. Not on Free.

4. Scheduled Tasks

"Every morning at 9, summarize today's important tech news." "Every Monday morning, prepare a weekly economy report." "On the 1st of each month, pull last month's AIGENCY usage stats." These are now tasks you delegate to AIGENCY — set once, run forever.

Go to Scheduled Tasks from the "Tasks" button in the sidebar. Hit "+ New Task"; choose a title, assistant, prompt (what you'd ask each time), and a schedule. Presets are ready: daily 9 AM, daily noon, daily 6 PM, weekly Monday, monthly first. On Pro and Business you can write custom cron expressions.

When the task fires, the system runs it automatically and drops the result as a new chat in your list. The chat name shows "📅 [Task title]" so you know it came from an automation. If in-app notifications are on, you also get an instant ping.

Pause tasks anytime, hit "Run now" to trigger immediately, or delete. If anything fails, you'll see why on the same page.

Plan limits: Starter 2 tasks (60-min minimum interval), Pro 10 tasks (15 min), Business 50 tasks (5 min). Not on Free.

5. Canvas — Side Editor

When you get a long reply — a blog post draft, a code snippet, an email — you used to copy it and paste it elsewhere to edit. Canvas breaks that cycle.

When the AI returns a long response, you'll see a small rectangle icon under it: "Open in Canvas". Click and the screen splits — a smaller chat on the left, a large editor on the right. The message opens as-is in the editor. Work in markdown, code (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, Rust, Go, Java, C++, Vue, React, Next.js, Nuxt and more), or plain text.

The most powerful part: select a section and use the "Edit with AI" toolbar's ready-made commands. "Make shorter", "Make longer", "More formal", "More casual", "Debug" (for code), "Translate to Turkish", "Translate to English" — each replaces your selection in place with one click. If you have something more specific in mind, type a custom instruction via "Edit with AI".

Canvas autosaves; press Esc to close and pick up where you left off. You can keep multiple Canvases per chat.

Plan limits: Free 10 AI edits/day, Starter 50, Pro 500, Business unlimited.

How they all work together

Put these five together and a real workflow emerges: in the morning a Scheduled Task summarizes the day's news → your Knowledge Base already knows the sector reports → you fire Deep Research on a topic and ten minutes later review the output in Canvas → completed chats land in the right Folder. AIGENCY is no longer "a tool that answers when asked"; it's an always-on assistant in your flow.
